What to Expect at Your First Visit
Plan for approximately two hours for your initial appointment so we can thoroughly assess your oral health and get to know you. The length of your visit may vary based on your dental condition and history.
During your first appointment, you can expect:
- A review of your dental and medical history
- Digital X-rays of your teeth and mouth
- A comprehensive clinical exam, including:
- Oral cancer screening
- Periodontal (gum) evaluation
- TMD/TMJ (jaw) assessment
- Determination of the most appropriate cleaning for your current oral health
- Recommendations for follow-up and preventative care
- Scheduling of your next appointment (typically in 3 to 6 months)

What to Expect
at Your First Visit

We'll also determine the most appropriate type of cleaning for your current oral health, provide personalized recommendations for follow-up care, and schedule your next routine visit—typically in 3 to 6 months.
